Never Steady, Never Still



A feature length drama starring Shirley Henderson (Trainspotting, South Cliffe) and Théodore Pellerin (Endorphine, Les Demons) that celebrates the quiet strength of the human spirit, dealing with issues of loss, masculinity, and love through the lives of an eighteen-year-old oil field worker, and his mother, who has been living with Parkinson's disease for over seventeen years.

My mum said to me then that death is not cruel, death is a gift from God, just as life is. I told mum I wasn’t so sure about God... And then there was Ed - the still babe held tight to his chest - he looked thin and pale as the underside of a leaf. I knew then must have been my heart that could not fill her heart properly, because I could see her tiny fist among the folds of the cloth, and I knew she was anything but weak.
